SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION
Summer School Logistics:
- Summer school begins Tuesday, May 31st at 7:00am.
- Summer school takes place in room 201 in The Academy building located behind Sturgis Brown High School.
- Students will need to have their school computers and a charger upon arrival.
- Summer school class pricing is $50 (first 1/2 credit), $25 (additional 1/2 credits).
Summer School Hours:
- Monday (learn from home)
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00am - 11:00am (Room 201 in The Academy Building)
Summer School Messaging:
- Personalized progress reports will be emailed to parents by Monday evening each week.
Summer School Support:
- Summer school will be supported by Mrs. Van Zee and Mrs. Ramirez. They can be reached at kari.vanzee@k12.sd.us (Mrs. Van Zee) and katiejo.ramirez@k12.sd.us (Mrs. Ramirez).
Summer School Curriculum:
- Summer school is taught through a new online learning platform: Edgenuity. You can read about the Edgenuity student experience here.
Summer School Wrap Up:
- Once students complete their necessary summer school class(es), they will not be required to attend summer school moving forward.
- Students must complete their necessary summer school class(es) by June 30th at 11:00am in order to receive a passing grade(s)/credit(s) for the required class(es).
