The Meade School District 46-1 is declaring its intent to follow the schedules and procedures for the disposition of records as set forth by the South Dakota Local Schools Records Retention and Destruction Schedule Administrative Rule 24:52:11:04. In accordance with these terms, the Meade School District is giving 30 days’ notice before destroying the following types of records:

Student Cumulative Folders for students graduating between 1997 - 2013

These records will be destroyed on June 15th unless the parent/guardian or student notifies the school district otherwise. Contact Pam Vinson at Sturgis Brown High School, 12930 E. Hwy 34, Sturgis SD 57785 or by calling 605-347-2686 ext 2410.

Prior to 2017, cumulative folders were given to students when they picked up their diploma.  The cumulative folders that remain are ones that were never picked up or students that did not graduate.  Meade 46-1 keeps a permanent record (transcript) on file for all students.
