Meetings

The board meets monthly and those meetings are open to the public.  The annual organizational meeting of the board is the second Monday in July at 5:30 p.m.  All other meetings are also held at 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month.

Meetings are held in the board room of the Williams Administrative Building, 1230 Douglas Street, Sturgis, S.D.

Special meetings, also open to the public, may be called by the president, or in her absence by the vice-president, or by a majority of the board, or by the superintendent.

No business shall be transacted at the special meeting except that specified in the call for the meeting unless a majority of the board members present agree to the consideration of additional items.  These meetings provide an opportunity for the members to examine certain issues more thoroughly.
