Bruch and Hamer Crowned SBHS Homecoming King and Queen

Sturgis Brown High School kicked off Homecoming Week 2025 with a night of tradition, pride, and celebration at the annual Coronation Ceremony. Students, staff, families, and community members gathered to honor this year’s royalty and mark the beginning of a week filled with Scooper spirit.

Quinn Bruch and Lucy Hamer were crowned as the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen, earning the highest honors of the evening. The royal court also included Kathleen Cook and Levi Brant, Ashley Standen and Sully Jost, Tori Williams and Peter Pi, and Iris Zylstra and Robert Sperling. Junior attendants Gwenyth Pyle and Drew Engle helped round out the ceremony.

The weather postponed the traditional “Burning of the S,” after coronation. Students will now turn their energy to athletic competitions, community events, and the highly anticipated Homecoming Parade on Friday, September 19, leading up to the Scoopers’ football showdown against Huron that evening.
