SBHS Natl Honor Society

Sturgis Brown High School held its National Honor Society (NHS) induction ceremony on Monday, November 10, celebrating students who exemplify the organization’s four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

The NHS recognizes outstanding high school students who demonstrate excellence in academics and a commitment to their school and community. To be eligible, students must maintain a strong cumulative GPA—meeting or exceeding the national minimum of 3.0—and show achievement across all four pillars. Applicants are evaluated by a faculty council based on their academic record, leadership roles, community service, and personal integrity.

Through membership in NHS, students pledge to uphold these values, serve their communities, and continue to lead with honesty, respect, and dedication. The induction ceremony honored those who have met these high standards and are now part of a national tradition of excellence and service.
