A group of 14 travelers spent the summer taking the trip of a lifetime, 9 days in the rainforest of Costa Rica! SBHS Spanish teacher, Jennifer Mallett, and Stagebarn Spanish teacher, Jordan Himley spent over a week leading travelers all over the country of Costa Rica, from the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean. In addition to getting to practice their Spanish students spent their days rafting some of the world's best whitewater, hiking the lush rainforests, kayaking the country's biggest lake, ziplining through rainforest canopy, and swimming in hot springs, waterfalls, and the ocean. Animals like giant iguanas, crocodiles, sneaky, thieving monkeys, sloths and beautiful birds were just some of the unforgettable creatures they saw, sometimes on their way to breakfast. The opportunity to travel is something that is truly life-changing and Señoras Mallett and Himley can't wait to continue these unforgettable trips. Where will they be off to next? Stay tuned to find out!
