STURGIS BROWN HIGH SCHOOL WELCOMES JADE TEMPLE AS NEW ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR
STURGIS, SD - Sturgis Brown High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Jade Temple as the new Activities Director, bringing over two decades of experience in athletics administration, marketing, and communications to the role.
Temple joins Sturgis Brown from the Douglas School District, where he most recently served as Communications Coordinator, managing district-wide communications strategy and community engagement initiatives. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Black Hills State University as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, overseeing NCAA compliance and eligibility for 330+ student-athletes across 14 Division II programs.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jade Temple to the Sturgis Brown family," said Principal Pete Wilson. "His extensive experience in athletic administration, combined with his deep roots in the Black Hills community, makes him the ideal candidate to lead our activities program into the future."
Temple's background includes notable achievements in athletic program management, event coordination, and community engagement. At Black Hills State University, he managed athletic program budgets, administered game day activities, and served on strategic planning committees.
A former collegiate athlete himself, Temple played football at Black Hills State University from 1994-1998, serving as team captain for two years. He holds both a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Black Hills State University.
Temple has demonstrated commitment to community service through his work with organizations such as Feeding South Dakota, South Dakota Special Olympics, and youth sports programs.
