SBHS presents The 2025 Scoop Revue on March 17 and 18 at the Sturgis community Center Theater. Doors open at 6:40 PM and show starts at 7:00 PM.

Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the Week is Kierra Killinger of the Sturgis Scooper Girls Basketball Team! Kierra led the Scoopers with 10 points in their SoDak 16 matchup with Sioux Falls O'Gorman. Way to go Kierra!!!


Students of the Month for February are 9th grade - Asher Tammi; 10th grade - Dane Wilston; 11th grade - Kate Bestgen; 12th grade - Jadon Blair; Staff - Jen Loftin. The Coffee Shop at Hotel Sturgis provided gift certificates for the recipients.


KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week is Kelson Dirk! Dirk was one of two Scoopers to bring home a championship trophy from the State Wrestling Tournament, claiming the 190 pound title.

Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the Week is Tyler Baldwin of the Sturgis Scooper Wrestling Team! Tyler defeated the top ranked 113 pound wrestler and defending state champ at the regions last weekend. Congratulations Tyler!


There will be a celebration of Scooper Wrestling 2024-25 on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the West Gym at Sturgis Brown High School. This event is open to the public to come and celebrate all the accomplishments of the 2024-25 season.


Scoop Revue auditions are February 25, 26, March 3 and 4 after school.

Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the Week is Arina Haugen of the Sturgis Scooper Girls Basketball Team, who has earned herself a starting spot for the Scoopers and is playing some good basketball!


Congratulations to the SBHS Debate Team on the performance in Gillette, Wyoming for placing 2nd as a team. The following students won in individuals:

Congratulations to our Scooper Thespian Society who received a Superior Ensemble-All Cast at the SDHSAA State One Act Play Festival in Brookings.


Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the Week is Ryan Heinert of the Sturgis Scooper Boys Basketball Team. Ryan is averaging 14 points and six rebounds a game for the Scoopers. Way to go RYAN!!!


Gavin Werlinger received 2nd place at the Western Dakota Tech Welding Competition on February 4. The competition hosted over 80 students from ten surrounding schools. Students competed in a written exam, as well as welding skills during the welding competition. Gavin won over $500 worth of welding equipment. Way to go Gavin!

Presold state wrestling tickets have arrived. Please pick them up beginning Monday, February 10.
