
There will be a celebration of Scooper Wrestling 2024-25 on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the West Gym at Sturgis Brown High School. This event is open to the public to come and celebrate all the accomplishments of the 2024-25 season.


Scoop Revue auditions are February 25, 26, March 3 and 4 after school.

Congratulations to our Scooper Thespian Society who received a Superior Ensemble-All Cast at the SDHSAA State One Act Play Festival in Brookings.


Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the Week is Ryan Heinert of the Sturgis Scooper Boys Basketball Team. Ryan is averaging 14 points and six rebounds a game for the Scoopers. Way to go RYAN!!!


Gavin Werlinger received 2nd place at the Western Dakota Tech Welding Competition on February 4. The competition hosted over 80 students from ten surrounding schools. Students competed in a written exam, as well as welding skills during the welding competition. Gavin won over $500 worth of welding equipment. Way to go Gavin!


Students of the Month for January are 9th grade - Dennis (Madden) Doerr; 10th grade - Leigha Long; 11th grade - Talia Biscaino; 12th grade - Ireland Nacey; Staff - Vanessa Bridges. The Coffee Shop at Hotel Sturgis provided gift certificates for the recipients.


Presold state wrestling tickets have arrived. Please pick them up beginning Monday, February 10.


Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the Week is Brooklynn Baird of the Sturgis Scooper Girls Wrestling Team! Brooklynn is ranked NUMBER ONE in the state in her 132 weight class with 36 pins! WAY TO GO!!!


Five SBHS athletes will officially sign a commitment with colleges on Wednesday, February 5. A signing ceremony will take place at SBHS Gym Commons at 3:30 PM. Come join us in celebrating our Scooper athletes!!!


Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the Week is Addy Kossler of the Scooper Girls Basketball Team! Addy had a great game vs Lead-Deadwood, where she scored 14 points in a win over the Golddiggers.


FCCLA is holding a book drive to collect books for Sturgis Elementary. The goal is to provide each student at Sturgis Elementary with a book of their own. The book drive will start January 30 through the end of February. Drop off locations are located at Sturgis Elementary, Sturgis Williams Middle School, Sturgis Brown High School and Sturgis Monument Health.


Schedule change for the varsity basketball games on Friday, January 31, against the Mahpiya Luta Crusaders. Boys varsity team will play at 6:00 PM and the girls varsity plays at 7:30 PM.


The SBHS Varsity Boys Basketball Team added a game to their schedule. They will play against the Vermillion Tanagers on Saturday, February 1 at 1:15 PM CST).


Scooper Thespian Society Presents "Shuddersome: Tales of Poe" on Friday, January 31 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, February 1, at 1:00 PM and 7:30 PM. All performances are at the Sturgis Community Center.


The SBHS Choir Concert has been canceled for Monday, January 27, 2025.


Congratulations to the Scooper Girls Wrestling Team that went undefeated at the Casper, WY dual Tournament. They finished as Team Champions and Annalee Pierson won the Outstanding Wrestler Award. Way to go Scoopers!

This week's Kwik Mart/KBHB Athlete of the week is Hayden Rock of the Sturgis Scooper Boys Basketball Team. Rock scored 21 points to lead the Scoopers in their game vs RC Stevens. Way to go Hayden!
