Season kick-off for the Scooper Thespian Society will be held on Tuesday, September 3, at 6:00 PM. If you are interested in Drama Club please attend this with your parents/guardians. Meeting will be held in Room 100 at SBHS.

SBHS April Student and Staff of Month


Congratulations to Ms. Christina Bartlett for being accepted into the South Dakota 2024 Youth Trooper Academy. She will be one of 26 High School Aged individuals spending 5 days learning the basic skills of law enforcement and police tactics as taught to the South Dakota State Trooper cadets in Pierre SD.
The Youth Trooper Academy is an intensive, one week, residential learning experience for young adults who are entering their senior year of high school or have just graduated high school in 2024. Veteran South Dakota Highway Patrol Troopers will serve as mentors and chaperones during the week.
Troopers and members from other law enforcement agencies throughout the state of South Dakota will provide classroom and hands-on training in topics such as firearms safety, defensive driving, crash investigation, traffic stops, leadership, defensive tactics, and criminal law. Youth Academy Recruits will also get to experience demonstrations from the Highway Patrol’s special operations section such as aircraft operation, SWAT, and Police Service Dogs.


Abigail Tweedy, SBHS junior, was KBHB Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week for her outstanding pitching. Way to go Abigail.


Aidan Hedderman, SBHS senior, was KBHB/Kwik Mart Athlete of the Week for dominating the 110-meter hurdles. Way to go Aidan!
