From board games to houseplants, pickleball to scavenger hunts—Meade's Health and Wellness Day had it all! Reminding our amazing staff that prioritizing health not only benefits us but also makes us better for our students!

Dr. Jerrid Goebel and Dr. Al Gunderson encouraged staff to stand tall and feel fantastic by showing proper posture and introducing the benefits of acupuncture. Thanks Key City Chiropractic for taking care of Meade!


Heartfelt thanks to Michelle and Rick Grosek of Bear Butte Gardens, who inspired staff to get their hands dirty and reminded staff that tiny seeds will blossom when nurtured just right.


Teachers spreading the book love at Hotel Sturgis! Gathered for good company, delicious coffee, and amazing reads, they were reminded that reading is pure soul food!



Meade School District takes action in prioritizing health during Inservice by actively embracing the mantra of strong bodies and sharp minds. The dedicated staff members go beyond words and work up a sweat on campus and at Twisted Canyon, demonstrating their commitment to the "MeadeHealthandWellness initiative.

The School Nurses, along with the Meade School District, would like to thank Sturgis Rally Charities Inc. for their generous donation of $6000 to bring the Delta Dental Mobile Program to the Meade School District. This donation pays for the Delta Dental Mobile to serve students twice per year by providing dental exams and X-Rays, cleanings, fillings, sealants, fluoride varnish, and dental education. We are very grateful for their continued support.

Reminder: The Meade School District is hosting a presentation & discussion tonight, Tuesday, January 16 starting at 6:30 pm at Whitewood Elementary.

Atall Elementary, Central Meade Co. School, Elm Springs, Opal Elementary will have a one-hour late start on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Hereford Elementary will be CLOSED Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to frozen pipes.
All other buildings will start at their regular times.

Events Update for Friday, January 12, 2024!

The Meade School District 46-1 is cordially inviting area businesses and community members to attend a CTE Community Involvement discussion at Sturgis Brown High School - East Gym on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 6:30 pm. The district is requesting input from area business leaders, business owners and employees and what they foresee they need within the district for student future employment.
