Sturgis Brown High School is exploring the possibility of a 5x3 trimester schedule change. We would like to give you more information about this type of schedule and also hear what you think about this possibility. Presentations are scheduled for SWMS 8th graders on Tuesday, Oct 31 and Stagebarn MS 8th graders on Wednesday, Nov 1.
Parent/Guardian presentations are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
Thursday, Nov 2 at Sturgis Brown High School - West Gym @ 6:30 pm.
Monday, Nov 6 at Stagebarn Middle School @ 6:30 pm.
Tuesday, Nov 7 at Sturgis Williams Middle School @ 6:30 pm.
Please attend whatever presentation works best for you. An email with a survey link will also be sent out so that we can hear your thoughts on a possible 5x3 trimester schedule.
The All-State Chorus & Orchestra concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28th in the Summit Arena at The Monument in Rapid City. Tickets are available at the door, or online.
SBHS will be taking 3 quartets. GOOD LUCK to the 12 musicians that have worked very hard to memorize their music in a relatively short amount of time.

The 7th & 8th grade GBB vs. Belle Fourche scheduled for today, Thursday, October 26 has been POSTPONED. A make-up day will be determined later.

SBHS FB Playoffs!
The Sturgis vs Tea Area Football game scheduled for today (10/26/23) has been postponed to TOMORROW (10/27/23) at 6:00 PM CENTRAL TIME due to road conditions.
*Football Playoffs Postponed*
Due to road conditions, the SBHS Football Playoff Game scheduled @ Tea for today, Thursday, October 26 has been postponed. The bus is in the process of returning to Sturgis. Postponement details will be coming soon!
The American Legion Riders of the Black Hills hosted an assembly for 1st and 4th graders at Sturgis Elementary. The Legion was able to come in connection with Veteran's Day to talk to students about the flag and flag etiquette. Students in 1st grade participated in the raising of the Sturgis Elementary flag. The American Legion Riders made a generous $250 donation to Sturgis Elementary to help provide to students in need during the winter months.

Congratulations to SBHS sophomore, Tori Williams of the Sturgis Volleyball team who scored 23 assists, four kills and two aces in a win over Lead-Deadwood AND SBHS junior, Jadon Blair of the SBHS football team who hauled in a 31 yard touchdown pass in a win at Douglas.
