This week, we celebrate Amy Conover! Since the fall of 2024, she has single-handedly taken on the role of two school psychologists! Behind the scenes, she has made a profound impact on so many of the children we serve. I often marvel at the level of thought and care she puts into each evaluation — knowing her work truly follows a student for a lifetime.
THANK YOU, Amy, for being the cornerstone of our Special Services Department and a true example of excellence!

Your Sturgis Scoopers will host a first-round football playoff game tomorrow, Thursday, October 30, at Woodle Field. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
Because this is a South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) playoff event, a few important reminders:
💵Admission: $7 for adults and $5 for students (set by the SDHSAA Board of Directors).
All fans, including Meade School District students and children, must pay admission. Season passes are not valid for playoff games.
Event Guidelines: Signs, banners, flags, noise makers, and balls are not allowed at SDHSAA playoff games. Only official signage approved by the SDHSAA, Bands of the Day, or media outlets is permitted.
📣Let’s pack Woodle Field, cheer loud, and show our Scooper pride as the team kicks off postseason play!
Go Scoopers!

As we head into our final home regular-season football game before the playoffs, I want to thank you for your continued support of Scooper Activities. This week’s matchup against Spearfish is an important one with postseason implications, as well as Go Gold and Senior Night. We’re expecting a great atmosphere and a very large crowd.
With that in mind, we’re asking for your assistance during the game. In recent weeks, we’ve had a number of younger students gathering near the concession and restroom areas or leaving the field to play in the park. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, we ask that if your child attends the game, they stay with you in the stands to watch and cheer on the Scoopers.
Please also remind your child to leave balls and other play equipment at home to help reduce congestion and distractions around the complex.
We appreciate your help in keeping our events safe, enjoyable, and focused on supporting our student-athletes. The far west section of the bleachers will be available for families with middle school or elementary students.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support—let’s make it a great night for Scooper football!
Go Scoopers!
