The Meade School District is inviting Meade 46-1 homeschool families to attend a presentation by Sup. Wayne Wormstadt and Whitewood Elem. Princ. Brit Porterfield. The purpose is to gather information and collaborate with homeschool families and to share possible opportunities.
Open Enrollment into the Meade School District 46-1 for the 2024-25 school year will not open until February 1, 2024.

Congratulations to Stagebarn Middle School Principal, Dave Olson and Assistant Principal, Amanda Christensen, for being selected as the Region VII Middle School Principal and Assistant Principal representatives of the year by the SD Association of Secondary School Principals.
The State Oral Interpretation Festival was held in Harrisburg December 1-2. The district had five students compete in a total of seven categories. Rowan Lutz competed in storytelling and received an excellent rating. Jordyn Richter and Codi Rounds received a superior with distinction, which is a perfect score, in the categories of non-original oratory and serious reading. Abby Johnson and Lucy Secrest also received superiors in poetry and humor, and the reader's theater performance, which was written by Abby Johnson and included Abby, Jordyn, and Codi, also received a superior rating. The team received a team excellence award for their efforts.
