The National Association of School Resource Officers appointed February 15th of every year to be School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. This day is set aside to celebrate our sworn law enforcement officers who work in schools to keep our kids and staff safe, and build relationships with our families and students. Deputy Ness has worked in Piedmont Valley Elementary since 2023. Since that time she has read to students in their classroom, greeted them when they come in the office, and given out countless badge stickers and hugs! She has also helped with the implementation and training of the "I Love You Guys" safety protocol. We are so lucky to have her in our PVE family!

Congratulations to our Runner-Up for Teacher of the Year, Junior Kindergarten Teacher Beth Pitsor, and Runner-Up for Support Staff of the Year, Paraprofessional Barbie Green! We are so lucky to have you on our team and appreciate all you do!

Piedmont Valley Elementary is proud to announce our Teacher of the Year, 2nd Grade Teacher Kayleen Selfridge, and Support Staff of the Year, Paraprofessional Wendy Johnson. We are so thankful to have you as part of our team and don't know what we would do without you!
