Piedmont Valley Elementary was excited to honor local Veteran's today at our annual Veterans Day Program. CPT Chris Wenk with the SD National Guard was the guest speaker. His daughter, Madison (K), was excited to hear her dad speak at the assembly today! Roy Berke, Americanism Officer, presented Mr. Dschaak with an American flag set for PVE. Students sang songs to the distinguished guests under the direction of Music Teacher Anna Peachey. Thank you to all the veterans that joined us and made this day such an amazing learning experience for our students.
"In honor of Veterans Day, South Dakota public schools proudly recognize and support the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. Their sacrifices and dedication have upheld the values and freedoms we cherish, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment to protecting our nation.
Our schools are committed to instilling respect and appreciation for veterans among our students, helping them understand the importance of service and dedication. We invite our community to join us in expressing heartfelt gratitude and respect for our veterans. "
