SWMS students are now able to enjoy the Scooper Reading Nook. Mrs. Goebel was able to purchase items to create this wonderful reading space from funds raised during the spring book fair.

Last week, 7th grade English students learned about different types of poetry. Students then had to create their own "spring themed" poem to have displayed in the classroom. A select few students have even decided to take their poetry writing skills to the next level and participate in the National Student Poetry Contest.

Julie from the Sanford Underground Research Facility spoke with 5th graders about the experiments that they are conducting at the Sanford Underground lab in Lead. She explained about neutrinos and how difficult they are to detect. Students even preformed a few experiments. It was a wonderful presentation that sparked the interest of future scientists.
